Grandpa Strickland not ready to retire, but loves his new RV!

Governor Strickland has “wads” of cash in his pockets and he can’t seem to keep his feet on the ground.  Strickland’s campaign to keep his seat as Ohio’s Governor’s has more than $4 million in the bank.  And it is all thanks to his many trips across the country.  Strickland has been campaigning for funds on more than 40 trips in the past year.

If you were wondering why the budget process in Ohio took so long, it looks like we may have found the answer.  40 trips seem like a lot?  Strickland’s camp says no way.  What they have been shaking their heads to though is over $90,000 from Net Jets employees or “close connections.”  Strickland does not seem to be the only one with more cash in bank.  Net Jets received over $26 million in tax credits last year.  Smell fishy?  Maybe a call to the Governor’s Office will clear things up, but, that call will probably go unanswered.

The big surprise: Strickland has out earned his Republican rival, John Kasich.  I think the 40 trips tell that story by themselves.
