According to a report in today’s Dispatch, Mayor Coleman has decided to ease parking restrictions on seven different streets during rush hour…

“Lifting these parking restrictions makes sense because Downtown is an active, exciting place to work and live day and night, and we will continue to look for ways to make our Downtown more accessible,” Coleman said in a statement.

Apparently, only between grandstanding and fear mongering though.  Wasn’t accessibility one of the reasons sited for why developers couldn’t sell their condos five years ago?   Oh, but NOW he’s listening and acting “proactively”!

Now, the people who don’t drive downtown after work will have a place to park. Good job Boss Coleman, a day late and 2% richer, still just as stupid.

Hopefully this will get people to forget that you raked 2% out of their pockets this year!
